A is for Angle

This is the downspout of the gutter shot at an angle. It’s fun to experiment with different ways of looking at things and to find different angles for familiar subjects. Same goes for writing. There’s always a way to turn a “boring” topic into an “interesting” one if you find the right point of view. If it feels like you’re telling a boring story, stop. Don’t tell the same old story. Try to approach it a different way. Take familiar elements, change the angle, and create something new.

Colorful Ocean Creatures

At first it hid behind the rock, then slowly came forward. Some kind of white crawfish I guess?

I love the color on this one. There were several others in the tank and they all hid when I got close. Except for this brave (or vain) fish.

This urchin was so cool. Haven’t seen one before in a pet store.

This yellow and blue fish darted in and out of the rock. It took some time but I got a picture of it.

The seahorse seemed upset that the shrimp was crawling all over his plastic sea fan.

This was called a goby. Lots of different colors and an almost frog-like shape.

These little crabs were busy digging. It’s funny because at first I didn’t notice them and saw only rocks. Then saw the tiny legs moving.

In my recent quest to find some color, I visited the pet store and pretended I was snorkeling near some exotic reef.
