I’ve never been to New York so I don’t know… The buildings in the background in your photo… the two tallest ones look impossibly tall- and narrow- Of course it’s difficult to see as it’s so foggy… and I can’t believe I can’t tell- but… is that a true photo of the skyline? It does not look right to me….

Yes, it is an unedited photo (I cropped a bit from the left and reduced the file size, but nothing else). I was standing on the Oak Bridge looking downtown across the Lake. Wish I could tell you what the buildings are but I don’t know.
Actually, I found an image of the skyline from this angle in which someone labeled those buildings. According to this image I found, the tall one on the right is Central Park Tower, which will be the world’s tallest residential building when it is completed later this year. The tall one on the left is 111 W. 57 St., also called Steinway Tower, which is another residential building.
