I’m running low on Ideas at the moment, so use your Imagination and pretend this baguette looks like the letter I.

Or is it a lowercase l?

Damn sans-serif fonts.

(Whole-wheat baguette baked yesterday to go with potato and ham soup. Winter was trying to hang around again this weekend, but things should warm up this week.)

Biscuits Can Fix It

If you’re feeling down, make some biscuits. They can fix it.

I like this recipe for Southern Buttermilk Biscuits from Food.com. I use white whole wheat flour and add a little extra liquid. If I don’t have buttermilk, I substitute by putting 1 TB apple cider vinegar in the 1 c of milk and let it sit for a few minutes.
