Photo Challenge: Door to Nowhere

Abandoned building with yellow door on second floorI saw this run-down building on a New England river in early spring. The door to nowhere caught my eye. I also have a thing for old, weathered wood.

Check out my second post, Another Door to Nowhere

This week’s theme is Door.

    1. Thanks! I hope that wouldn’t happen to anyone–the place seemed pretty much abandoned and I hope it would be nailed shut inside! I have another image to post of a similar door. I hope no one is falling out of these doors! πŸ™‚

      1. Haha, I’m sure no one is, it’s just my macabre mind working in all the wrong ways! It doesn’t even look like the kind of building anyone would be allowed into in the first place, so I’m sure there is no one falling from the doorways!

        1. Yes, it definitely looked like it was boarded up πŸ™‚ I wondered what it was formerly used for. It looked like there were multiple additions put on at different times that extended out over the river.

  1. saw the same thing too – the door to nowhere – at an old ship harbor town in connecticut

    1. You’re right! It reminds me of the old Loony Tunes cartoons where Wile E. Coyote would chase the Roadrunner. Seems like something you would see him do: step through a door in the middle of nowhere and then fall straight down off the edge of the cliff.

I'd love to hear your thoughts
